Activitat per a classe sobre el conte: Sick Letters

Objectius d'aquest recurs didàctic infantil: 
Activitat relacionada amb el conte en anglés "Sick Letters", que ajuda a reflexionar sobre com som d'importants dins d'un grup i que si un es posa malalt la resta pateix.

A més a més, aquesta activitat, a part de tenir un component de destacar uns valors, preten ajudar a aprendre l'alfabet en anglés, a deletrejar paraules, aprendre'n de noves en anglés i practicar els números en anglés de l'1 al 27.

Spelling

1. Teach or revise the alphabet. You can use some songs offered intext books or the Internet, for example these links:

2. Ask the students to spell their names. Can you spell your name?

3. Colour Words. Revise the colours to colour some words. Give eachletter a colour and practice colours and letters with differentwords.

Example: Crocodile

C is red

R is blue

O is green

D is pink

I is yellow

L is brown

E is orange

They can also colour their names or short sentences.

4. How many “Ls” are there in the word (Yellow)? (repeat withdifferent words).

They practice “there is” and “there are” in their answers.

5. Which letter is missing? Sch__ __l; (repeat with different words).You can also practice the key words in the story playing“hangman” with them.

Vocabulary

Teach some of the words in the story which you think may be difficultfor the children. The underlined words in the story are in theglossary.

Try to teach them in a context, miming the words or showing objects.Some examples:

 Name a student who is not in class to teach absent

 Show them a newspaper, a story book, a cleaning cloth. Usingthese items, teach them:newspaper, the news, story, tell a story, get dirty, cleaning

 Write a problem (a sum, for example) on the blackboard andteach: problem, to solve , solution.etc.

Reading comprehension: worksheets 3 and 4.

Depending on the level of the students these worksheets can also bedone only by listening to the story
